Koby Chadick, Director of Operations at The Roth Companies, Inc., has responsibility for strategy development and implementation, investment philosophy, financial management and business development. Koby has a special focus on serving business owner clients, providing guidance on business exit and estate planning, M&A, capital structure optimization, refinancings and other strategic initiatives.
Koby has over 10 years of investment experience including five years of experience as a principal investor in private equity and credit investing in leveraged buyouts, growth equity and highly structured preferred equity and debt investments in middle market companies. Koby has deployed over $350 million of equity and debt capital and completed nearly $1.5 billion in successful capital markets transactions. Koby has been an observer of the board of directors for several companies and has worked closely with management teams to drive growth, support M&A and refinancing transactions, improve profitability, develop executive leadership and execute strategic initiatives.
Most recently, Koby was an investment professional for Freedom 3 Capital, a private capital fund manager with $1.8 billion of invested capital across various industries, where he was involved in all phases of the investment process including origination, evaluation, transaction execution and portfolio company support. Prior to Freedom 3, Koby was an investment professional for Midwest Growth Partners, a lower middle market private equity fund manager, where he was responsible for evaluation and execution of control investments across several industries. Prior to Midwest Growth, Koby worked in corporate finance and development for Dickinson Financial Corporation, a multibillion-dollar bank holding company. Koby began his career as an advisor for The Roth Companies, Inc., where he primarily focused on portfolio management.
Koby received his MBA with a concentration in Finance and Strategic Management from the University of Kansas, where he graduated with honors, and his BBA from the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith, where he was an Academic All-Conference selection and team captain on the baseball team. Koby is active in the community and serves as a volunteer for the Salvation Army and Big Brothers Big Sisters, where he was previously a member of the junior board for both the Des Moines and Kansas City BBBS chapters. Outside of the office, Koby enjoys golfing, the outdoors, DIY projects, and spending time with family and friends.
